Metro Newspaper Dress and Photography Project

The Project:

The Metro Newspaper Dress and Photography Project was an extensive photography group project with a paper dress I designed myself. I was inspired by the idea of a paper dress made of Metro paper. The dress was composed and designed and machine sewn out of a selection of approximately 100 ‘Best of’ London METRO newspapers, collected from London Underground, years 2010/11. The pattern design for the Metro Newspaper dress is actually a wedding dress design, apart from the ‘belt” and ‘tail’ I added. For this project we had a professional agency model and the dress was specifically tailored for her.
